Departure dock: Belleair Boat Ramp, 3900 W Bay Dr, Belleair Bluffs, FL 33770 (Boca Grande Tarpon trips depart from Placida Park Boat Ramp)
Trip times: Morning charters 7–8am (8am standard), Afternoon charters 1pm, Tarpon trips (Boca Grande & Clearwater) 6am
Tackle, rods, fishing licenses, bait, cleaning & bagging of your catch, and bottled water are all included.
Morning charters typically start at 8am (7am during parts of the season). Afternoon charters start at 1pm. Tarpon trips, in both Boca Grande and Clearwater, start at 6am.
We launch from Belleair Boat Ramp, 3900 W Bay Dr, Belleair Bluffs, FL — about 10 minutes from Clearwater Beach. Boca Grande Tarpon trips depart from Placida Park Boat Ramp instead.
Coast Guard regulations allow a maximum of 4 fishing guests on board, with up to 6 people total and rods rotating as needed. For groups larger than 6, Capt. Phil can arrange a second boat with another local guide.
A hat, sunglasses, and a long-sleeved shirt are recommended for sun protection. Feel free to bring your own food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) — a Yeti 65 is provided onboard for storage. Soft-sided personal coolers are welcome; please skip glass bottles.
Yes — there’s a private area on board with a portable camping toilet.
Most commonly: speckled sea trout, mangrove snapper, Spanish mackerel, redfish, snook, and red and gag grouper, plus seasonal runs of tarpon, king mackerel, sheepshead, and pompano.
Safety comes first. If weather prevents a safe trip, we’ll do our best to reschedule; if that’s not possible, your deposit is refunded.
Tarpon season runs May 1 through the end of July. Scalloping runs July 10 through August 18 (2026 dates). Scallop and kids trips have variable start times — text Capt. Phil to confirm scheduling.
No, smoking is not permitted during trips.
